FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the first steps I should take when ordering a Vandeycake?
We recommend that you contact Amanda at least 2 months before your event to ensure availability. To begin the process, she’ll schedule a phone consultation to discuss your event and design details. Amanda loves to see your Pinterest boards and inspiration images, too, so feel free to send those over prior to your phone call!
How do you price your cakes?
Because every Vandeycake is one of a kind, she doesn't have standard pricing. After an initial design consultation, she will provide you with a custom quote. Minimum orders start at $250.
What is the farthest you deliver?
Vandeycakes is located in Brooklyn and delivers to the five boroughs. The delivery fee is a flat rate of $150. If an onsite team is needed to set up the cake, an additional fee will be charged. Amanda also loves traveling to create Vandeycakes for special events, but costs for kitchen rental, if necessary, and travel expenses will be additional.
DO YOU MAKE GLUTEN-FREE CAKES?
Yes! Amanda will always do her best to meet your dietary needs, so don't hesitate to ask. But note that she bakes in a nut-friendly facility and isn't kosher.
WHAT aRE PEOPLE SAYING ABOUT VANDEYCAKES?
CATHERINE GRANT | SALT LAKE CITY, UT"Amanda made an incredible cake for my combination 40th birthday and moving party. She went above and beyond expectations with her creativity and attention to detail; the cake was an exact replica of a photograph of me and my husband on a chairlift. She perfectly recreated everything from our helmets, goggles and skis!
I was gluten-free at the time and she made the cake using a recipe with almond flour. And perhaps the best part was that it tasted amazing. So many cakes only look good, but this was totally delicious. Amanda is an incredible baker and artist. Highly recommend." |
RAMIN TABIB | HOBOKEN, NJ"These cakes are works of art that create instant memories.
We wanted something special for our daughter's first birthday. I provided a picture of some stuffed animals and Amanda turned it into a multi-level jungle playground. It also tasted as good as it looked. Incredible cake that was the hit of the party! In hindsight, the memory bit was the job to be done... I think that's what I was really after, and Vandey delivered." |
